Product Review: Estée Lauder Idealist Cooling Eye Illuminator
Thursday, September 29, 2011
Hi guys! I'm sharing my review of one of the products from my favourite range of Estée Lauder products today - the Estée Lauder Idealist Cooling Eye Illuminator.
You may remember my previous review of the Estée Lauder Idealist Even Skintone Illuminator.
With every cool touch of this first-ever, specially contoured ceramic-tip applicator, help reduce the look of:
- dark circles
- puffiness
- shadows
Instantly, eyes look brighter and refreshed.
- fine lines
I LOVE this!! I made the colossal mistake of not bringing this to the Australian Beauty Bloggers Weekend that I attended last weekend in Sydney - it would have been the star product of my beauty bag, seriously! I was so tired the entire weekend, and my eyebags were really the most dominant part of my face. Concealer didn't work very well because all it did was leave a grey cast on the area below my eyes. It wasn't a pretty sight.
Compared to the Even Skintone Illuminator, this product is a little thicker. It contains little light reflecting particles, as you can see in the pictures below. But they are so finely milled that they don't look strange on your skin at all - it does exactly what it is supposed to do - illuminate.
The ceramic applicator is an absolute godsend! It feels so lovely and cooling on my skin, and it perks my eyes up just enough so I look rested and healthy. The instructions on the tube say that you should clean the applicator with a tissue each time you use it, which put me off a little because I thought it would get dirty and gross, but I haven't had any problems with it at all.
Here are a couple of pictures to show you how this product works.

The Idealist Cooling Eye Illuminator retails for AUD 95 per tube. It is a truly amazing product, and I definitely recommend it!
