Hi guys, I'm so sorry I haven't posted in a while - I've been busy devoting all my time and energy to something entirely different to blogging! We (and by we I mean my parents) just purchased a brand new Docklands apartment where my sisters and I will be living out the rest of our student lives. Since none of us have any plans in the near future to move or live apart or get married, it also means that this will be our home for an indefinite period.

Obviously, we wanted to make it as comfortable and stylish and neat as possible, so I've been planning the decor, trying to utilise as much space as possible without cluttering up the apartment, and of course, arranging for all the utilities to be connected and disconnected.

We were all really excited about decorating the apartment (no more yucky budget, mismatching student furniture off Gumtree, y'all!) and getting the right furniture and decorative items for the apartment. We took a little trip to IKEA on Sunday to shop for our 'big ticket items' - the couch, TV console, beds and a couple of other extras.

Then I had to stay back and take delivery of the furniture on Monday, so I forced the boyfriend to come with me and paint some of the walls. We spent a good 18 hours there that day and managed to paint 3 walls, assemble our bed, one of the couches in the living room, and part of my sisters' chest of drawers. Not bad for a days' work, I'd say!


And that's why I haven't been blogging! There's still a lot to do, so I'm going to be really lax with posts, and I won't have an internet connection until ages after we move in.  :(
But everything in the apartment is coming along really nicely! Hopefully I'll be able to share a couple of pics of my brand new, fully decorated place soon!
