Product Review: Rimmel Kate Moss Lasting Finish Lipsticks
Wednesday, August 29, 2012If you've seen the Rimmel ads in magazines or at your local Priceline, you will know that Kate Moss has been a spokesperson and has collaborated with the brand for a while now. One of the (very successful) aspects of that collaboration is the Kate Moss Lasting Finish Lipstick.
I was sent a couple of colours that were released for Spring, and decided to hold back until now to post it so that the timing would be just right.
I received the colours 19 and 20 to review, and they are everything you would expect for a bright Spring lip.
Packaging
The lipstick tube looks like a sleek, matte metal. It bears the Rimmel logo on the top and Kate's signature around the cap.
Product
#20 is a lovely bright fuchsia, and is very wearable even with warm skin tones because the blue undertone in this lipstick isn't too strong.
#19 looks nude in the tube, but is more of a brick/rose shade that would look so beautiful with bright coloured clothes and accessories.
L: #19, R: #20
Performance
While these lipsticks aren't too creamy, they are still slick enough to be comfortable on the lips, and are pigmented and easy to apply. One swipe gives you strong, vibrant colour that will last for hours without a single touch-up.
With this less-creamy formulation, they last a very long time on the lips, and do leave a bit of a stain on the lips so that they wear down to a pretty, muted colour.
Price
This is probably the best part about this lipstick. It retails for AUD 11.95, which means that you can haul a bunch of different colours to suit all sorts of weather and wardrobe without feeling too guilty about it!
