Product Swatches: essie Spring 2012 Collection

Friday, August 17, 2012

I was sent a couple of nail polishes from the essie Spring 2012 collection and I wanted to show you guys swatches because they are pretty bright and cheery, and we all know we need a little cheeriness after this lousy drab winter.

Here are swatches taken with Instagram:

tour de finance

tour de finance is a beautiful fuchsia with shimmer running through it. The pink shimmer is absolutely explosive, and it has hints of violet shining through. Gorgeous, and not at all difficult to remove, because the shimmer particles are so tiny.

ole caliente

ole caliente is a bright orange-red - which makes its name completely appropriate! My grandmother used to grow chillies in our garden back in Malaysia, and this is the exact fiery red colour of the chillies!

Both these colours add such a lovely pop of colour - I cannot wait to match them with a pastel spring wardrobe! Speaking of pastels, essie has also brought out 3 pastel colours in this collection - a peach, a lilac and an apple green. I don't know about you, but I am dying to wear something bright and springtime appropriate!

If you want to check these out, a bottle retails for AUD 18.95. As with most of their recent collections, essie has also released a cube containing 4 mini polishes which retails at AUD 25 per cube.
