Sponsored Post: Biotherm Christmas Gift Pack

Wednesday, December 05, 2012

Last week, I posted my Christmas Gift Ideas, and even though I wanted to include this gorgeous thing, I couldn't, because, well, this is a sponsored post and I needed to wait till it was okay-ed before I could reveal it.

Big brands do some wonderful Christmas packs, as you all probably already know, and Biotherm is no exception. I received the Aquasource Christmas gift pack to photograph and review, and I think this would make a fabulous gift for someone who loves their skincare.

I remember reading about Biotherm once in a magazine. They had done a full, 4-page feature on its effects on the skin, as well as a detailed, beautifully illustrated step-by-step guide on how to use their products. It was then that I fell head over heels in love with Biotherm, and have wanted to use the brand ever since.
My Dad didn't think it was a good idea back then to change up my entire skin routine, so I never got the chance to try Biotherm products, so you can understand my excitement when I received this pack!

Here is a little breakdown of what the pack contains:

Aquasource
A deeply hydrating moisturiser that is light enough so that it absorbs into the skin almost instantly. According to Biotherm, this moisturiser offers 24-hour moisture utilising the goodness of thermal plankton cellular water. Also, Biotherm products always smell so fresh and insanely good!

Biosource Hydra-Mineral Cleanser Toning Mousse
I received this as a Biotherm sample about a year ago and used the entire sample up, which is very rare for me. This is a rich foaming cleanser that is very gentle on your skin. You hardly feel any tightness or dryness to your skin after cleansing with this, which is a big bonus in my books.

Biosource Instant Hydration Toning Lotion
Light, and so refreshing. That is all I have to say.

Conveniently, there is also a little blurb about the products on the back of the pack.

These limited edition packs were released in support of the Mission Blue charity, a global ocean charity founded by world-famous oceanographer, Dr Sylvia Earle. Biotherm has committed to donating a minimum of 250,000€ in support of Mission Blue's efforts to create a large-scale marine reserve for the Ross Sea, one of the most pristine marine environments left on earth - a fitting charity for Biotherm to pledge itself to, in my opinion. This collection marks the launch of the first mission of Biotherm's Water Lovers charity platform, a platform through which Biotherm supports projects that helps protect the world's vital water sources.

The products come packaged in a pretty silver box, with the 2012 Biotherm Christmas design printed on the cover, featuring Swedish artist Ingela Peterson Arrhenius's designs.

This is not the only pack available from Biotherm. They have also released some fabulous male gift packs. I have my eye on the gorgeous Eau Oceane eau de toilette, which comes in a cute drink-shaker-type bottle, also featuring Ingela's designs.

If you're looking for a great skincare or bodycare pack and know someone who loves marine life or preserving the environment, this would make a gorgeous gift for them.

Biotherm also has an offer running at the moment where you can download a voucher and bring it in store to redeem a free Biotherm sample. Intrigued? Click here.
