8 Pairs of Flats Perfect for Spring
Tuesday, October 05, 2010I live in flats. I love how comfortable they are, I love how I can walk for hours and not feel any pain in them. I get a little awkward when I wear heels, because back in Malaysia, when I wore them, I towered over most people. Here, when I don't stand next to the locals, I still tower over most people.
So you can kinda understand why I like flats so much.
Thing is, there's not much you can do with flats. I don't think there are many varieties, but I've managed to find 8 (cheap!) pairs that would make great additions to my spring wardrobe:

Clockwise from top left:
Moccasins, $40, from tobi.com
Great with shorts, even greater with boho dresses!
Brogues, $25, forever21.com
Check out my post on brogues here, and look at the pair I recently bought here!
Grey sneakers (Keds Champion Jersey Plimsolls, GBP 17, johnlewis.com)
These things, I'm beginning to discover, go with everything! Dress down a dress with these sneakers, or pair them with jeans and a jersey. There are so many ways to wear them!
Ankle Booties, $25, forever21.com
These are my new obsession. Ankle booties are everywhere nowadays, and lace up booties are all the more in-trend! I cheated a little, because this has a small heel, but everyone needs to look good on a great night out, and a pair of mid-height heels are the perfect balance between comfort and style.
Nautical Inspired Slip-ons, $17, amazon.com
Spring and nautical trends go very, very well together. A white shirt and white shorts wtih a pair of nautical inspired shoes is all you need to make a great spring outfit.
Gladiator sandals, $27, endless.com
The gladiator trend is still going strong, so I thought these pair would look amazing, given the beautiful eye-catching stones.
Colourful sandals, $48, buckle.com
Anything that wraps around your ankle will definitely look very boho, and very sexy! I love the colour on this pair - perfect for spring.
