Get the Look: Kristen Stewart at the NYC Screening of 'Eclipse'

Saturday, December 25, 2010

In a recent exclusive interview with Kristen Stewart News, Kristen Stewart's makeup artist, Beau Nelson, shared with us how to get Kristen's look at the NYC premiere of Eclipse.

Kristen had on a beautiful plum-coloured smokey eye, something that hasn't really been done, and she looked beautiful!

So here are Beau Nelson's tips on how to get Kristen's smokey eye:

The tools you will need:

From left: Blending brush, Smudge brush, Flat liner brush, Eyelash curler

Apply NARS shadow base on the entire lid up to the brow bone. Allow to dry for 1 minute before applying eyeshadow

Apply a thin coat of loose powder to the entire eye area to make sure that the shadow blends nicely and doesn't grab in any spots

Using a blender brush (he recommends a brush from his own line, Beauté Cosmetics Inc.), sweep a medium dark gray like NARS Paris (right side of the duo eyeshadow) into the crease of the eye and blend well.

Using a smudge brush, apply a bit of NARS Zardoz cream shadow to the lashline, and then blend the black upwards towards the gray with your finger. (In a recent interview with BellaSugar.TV, Beau mentioned that he loves using cream eyeshadow because it is a good base upon which to layer powder shadow, and it holds up very well)

Using a blender or a flat shadow brush, apply NARS Pandora (the black side) onto the outer 3rd of the eye, then blend with a blender brush up and into the gray until it looks seamless.

Using the smudge brush, apply a mix of the black and gray shadows onto the bottom lashline. Make sure you blend well.

Using the flat shadow brush, apply MAC's Cranberry to the inner 2/3rds of the eye, blending it well with the black.

Curl your lashes, then apply Chanel Inimitable mascara.

Apply MAC's Eye Kohl in Feline to the inner rims of the eye.
