FOTD: Monochrome Eyeshadow

Saturday, March 26, 2011

Firstly, I apologize profusely for the pictures - I am still terribly obsessed with the instagr.am app, and as such, will probably be doing a lot of FOTDs with this form of photo-editing. It's kind of cheating in a way, because these edits really hide all flaws, but I love the effect so much I don't care!

If I do any tutorial posts or swatches, I'll still be using my normal camera, so at least then the effect and finish of the makeup will still be true.

So the eyeshadow I'm using in this FOTD is the olive green colour from the Sleek Original palette (bottom row, second from right).

All you have to do with a monochrome look is place the eyeshadow on your lid (you can take it higher if you want a more dramatic look - I am so doing that next time!) and then blend out the harsh lines, and take the shadow just a little higher with your blending brush, so that you get a sort of gradient from dark to light.

ALSO! I want to apologize for the faces! I was going for 'smoulder', but I think constipated came out instead, LOL.

Other products used were:

Chanel Pro Lumiere foundation in #10 Nude
MAC Fluidline in Blacktrack
Face of Australia Bronzer
MAC Mineralize Blush in Gentle
NYX Round Lipstick in Circe

I hope everyone enjoyed this FOTD! I promise the Pro Lumiere review will be coming soon!
