Happy hump day, everyone! As promised, here is my review on the latest Estée Lauder Pure Color Five Color Eyeshadow Palette in Enchanted Berries. This palette was just released on the 7th of August, as a part of a new range created with Tom Pecheux, Estée Lauder's new Creative Makeup Director.

This is a plum-toned palette (duh), that includes a pretty light-taupe, glittery shade that comes out very gold-based on the swatch.

This palette is beautifully done - the packaging looks very luxe and sleek but is pretty lightweight (always a plus for a weakling like me who has trouble lugging a heavy handbag around!).




The eyeshadows, as you can see from the swatches above, are really pretty. The colours complement each other perfectly, and the range of colours will easily take your makeup look from morning to night without breaking a (hypothetical) sweat.

They are decently pigmented - nowhere near the pigmentation of Urban Decay, of course. But I think this sort of pigmentation works really well on people who are less inclined to slap on a smoky eye in the middle of the day the way I do. The shadows are easily buildable, so you get just the right amount on your eye, and you don't make many accidents if you're being too heavy-handed with the application. Very classy.

I never use the applicators that come with palettes, but I can say that these are of really good quality. Great for people who don't use brushes to apply their makeup.
