So I accidentally committed myself to bringing chocolate mousse to tomorrow's New Year's Eve party.

I got Julia Child's chocolate mousse recipe off the net and decided I wanted to give it a go. BUT, before I tested it out, I accidentally offered to make it for the party.

So I made up my first batch this afternoon. The fridge is taking forever to set the mousse, and so far, 5 hours later, only the top layer has turned into this beautiful, delicate cross between foam and a cream. I'm so proud (of my mousse's upper-layer, anyway).

Stay tuned to find out if the bottom layer made it to dessert heaven....
