Cult Beauty Product: Clarins Beauty Flash Balm

Friday, July 30, 2010

If you are as obsessed with beauty products (and glowing skin) as I am, then you've probably heard of Clarins' Beauty Flash Balm.

It is hailed as the miracle product for radiant, smooth, glowing skin. It fills in wrinkles, covers dark spots, reduces puffiness - you name it.

Of course, when I first heard of this product, I was very, very interested. So I went online, did the requisite research, asked around. I finally decided I had to try this miracle in a tube. I got Mich to help me get it when she was back in Malaysia (it's much cheaper there than it is here in Australia), and tried it out.

What's important about this Clarins balm is that you have to put your make up on as soon as you smooth this silicone-infused gel over your skin. Otherwise, you risk rubbing it too hard when putting other product on - this will make it dry out, flake, and fall off your skin.

So once you get the application just right, this thing is amazing! It makes your skin nice and smooth, makes makeup application just that much easier, and it acts as a primer as well - holding everything in place for the whole night.

Here's a picture of me with the balm on (only I don't know how good a reference this is, because I applied the balm at 10AM and this picture was only taken around 12 hours later).

I will put the balm on tonight and see if there is any difference in the pictures, and post them up tomorrow :)

Oh, I also heard that this balm is a godsend for older ladies, so I am tempted to try it on my Mom when she comes over in August. I will let you guys know the results!
