The Parents' First Day Here
Saturday, August 21, 2010My parents' first couple of days here were eventful , to say the least.
We started off with a little brunch at QV, and then shopping on Bourke Street.
We had dinner at Berth in Docklands at night - the food was amazing!
The next day, Jace and I went out with my parents (Mich was at uni). We went to the Korean restaurant, Dae Jang Geum, for lunch.
My parents (like everyone else) have a real thing for coffee, so we went off in search for a good place. I took them to Laurent because of my own hidden agenda - the hot chocolate (one of the best I've had so far, along with Brunetti's) and tarts! We went to the one on Little Collins street, and sat upstairs on the first floor. This was my first time upstairs, and it was so beautiful! Gorgeous semi-opaque marble lights, large windows next to small tables so comfortable I wanted to stay there forever!
Jace has been an absolute darling over the past few days. We moved into Raudhah's room (THANK YOU RAUDHAH!) to accommodate my parents, and he's been in our constant (very loud, very incessant) company. My Mom even bought him a couple of shirts, and he was a sport enough about it to pose for me :)
Not forgetting the shopping we've been doing! I finally got my Oxfords!
More to come about our trip to Sorrento!
