Different Skirts for Different Occasions

Whilst popping on a great pair of jeans can be a simple way to complete any outfit, not every woman feels comfortable in trousers all the time. If you’re the sort of girl who prefers to don a feminine skirt, here’s a look at which skirt will work best for which occasion:

For the office
Your work wear needs to be smart and comfortable, but that doesn’t mean you have to sacrifice on style. Wearing a skirt can be a feminine way to show your professionalism and personality. Pencil skirts are a particularly popular choice due to their fitted appeal. Opt for plain office appropriate shades or classic pinstripes. If you feel comfortable in a pencil skirt but would prefer a more fashion forward option, try a peplum skirt. When you’re office has a more casual dress-code, patterned and tie-dye print midi skirts are a wonderful option. Express you personality whilst showing off your curves yet maintaining your modesty.

For a night out
When you’re heading on a glamorous night out, a skirt and blouse makes a classic combo. There are no rules here, so whether you want to get your pins out with a mini or work a sexy bodycon maxi skirt, anything goes. Popular going-out skirts include colourful skater skirts, Aztec midis and fitted jersey full length numbers. The tulle tutu skirts is another popular style. If you’re opting for a mini skirt, you can go for casual denim or elegant tiers or something more sophisticated like a beaded design.

For around the house
If you work at home or are a stay at home mum, it can be tempting to just make yourself at home in your jogging bottoms each day. Choosing a comfortable and stylish outfit each morning, is a great way to boost your confidence and proactivity! Maxi and midi skirts are brilliant for around the house, as long as they’re not too tight and restricting. Jersey miniskirts and floating skater skirts are also good for easy movement, team with a pair of thick tights or knee high socks to keep warm whilst going about your day to day business.

For that special occasion
Picking your outfit for a special occasion can be a daunting process, whether it’s an engagement doo or wedding, birthday bash or christening – you want to look effortless fashionable. A dress might be the obvious choice but an embellished top with a statement skirt can be just as appealing. Choose from a floaty patterned maxi skirt with delicate sandals or a sparkly skater skirt great with killer heels. Midi skirts are another nice choice when you want to keep covered up but don’t want to risk tripping on a floor length design. Sequins are another big skirt trend at the moment.
