Makeup Tutorial: Easy Sparkly, Subtle Cut Crease Smoky Eye

Friday, March 29, 2013

Hi guys! As promised, here is my smoky eye tutorial utilising a bit of colour instead of your regular browns and blacks. I hope you enjoy watching it! x

Products mentioned:

L'Oreal Paris Nude Magique CC Cream (review here)
Anastasia Beverly Hills Beauty Express Kit in Brunette (review here)
NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk
Sisley Paris Phyto Ombre Eclat in Stardust (review and swatch here)
Urban Decay Single Eyeshadow in Asphyxia
Rimmel ScandalEyes Waterproof Kohl Kajal in Black (review here)

Chanel Illusion d'Ombre in Fantasme - this is a fabulous cream eyeshadow that is so easy to use. I just pick it up with my clean fingers and press it onto my eyeshadow. The colour 'Fantasme' is a plain white with gorgeous glitter, so it adds a beautiful glitter effect to any eyeshadow you have on, particularly darker colours.

ck one liquid eyeliner in black - this is a foolproof liquid eyeliner with a felt tip/brush hybrid applicator. It is very easy to control and use, so it is perfect for first timers who haven't quite gotten the hang of applying liquid eyeliner. As someone who uses liquid eyeliner a lot, I still really enjoy using this because it just makes applying my makeup so much quicker.

Clinique Airbrush Concealer in Fair - one of the few light-reflecting pens that I own, just because light-reflecting pens usually don't have a lot of pigment in them. However, this Clinique one has a pretty decent amount of pigment in it, so you don't have to apply a light-reflective pen and top it off with another concealer. As you all know, I love my multi-purpose products!

Daniel Sandler Watercolour Blush in Cherub (review here)

Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage in SC2 - my absolute favourite concealer for the face! It covers so well because it has a good concentration of pigment in it, and it is also budge-proof and so easy to blend because of its waxy texture. A major bonus is that with this concealer, you get to mix in the two colours to get your perfect colour match, which is great because most areas of your face are shadowy and light at the same time!

L'Oreal Paris Nude Magique BB Powder - This is an amazing powder that covers your skin beautifully without covering its natural glow too much. If you have oily skin but still want that youthful, natural glow when you use foundation, this is the product for you. It comes in a couple of different shades - I wear 'Light' and my sister wears 'Medium'. We're both big fans of this powder.
