Bare Minerals Foundation in Light (I had Fairly Light before, but it came off looking a little white so I thought I'd try a shade darker this time)


The Bare Minerals foundation now comes in a new 'lockable' jar, so its contents don't spill out when you take the case out with you. I haven't had much trouble with spillage, but that's probably because I don't take this out with me. I am going travelling soon (Bali, here I come!), so it should prove quite useful!

The colour looks a little dark, but when I swatched the powder, it turned out quite light, and slightly yellow (which is fine for me, but those with cooler undertones may want to try another shade).


Here's Benefit's cream eyeshadow. I'm actually really excited about this after reading Beau Nelson's recommendations and tips on how to achieve Kristen Stewart's look. I blogged about it here. According to him, cream shadows are really good for breaking down makeup when you want to quickly create a new look, and also act as a good base for your powder eyeshadow to grip onto when applying eye makeup.

I will be trying this out soon, and I'll let you know how it performed.

These are swatches of the two NYX lipsticks. They're really pigmented and very beautiful and creamy. I'll try them out really, really soon and post some pictures!


This is a swatch of the Stila liquid eyeliner. I'm not quite sure how I feel about this one. The texture of the liquid itself is really light, like a magic marker. And as you can see from the picture, it will bleed into your skin.

I only did a light swatch of it, but the liquid is so light that it bled into my skin right away.

The upside is that it has some pretty good staying power. It should say water 'resistant' though, not waterproof. Splashing water onto it doesn't affect it, but as soon as I rubbed my wet finger into it, it came off. Not promising, considering I bought this in anticipation of my Bali trip.
