Here's a new tutorial for everyone to try out!

It's pretty out there, but looks gorgeous, so if you're ever looking for a daring look to wear, you should definitely do this one!

People with bigger eyes (and therefore a smaller space between the top of their open eye and eyebrow) will find this look less extreme, but still dramatic enough to draw attention :)
Asian eyes, of course, have more upper lid space to work with. That, coupled with the fact that Asian eyes are already quite 'horizontally long' and this eye look elongates the eye, means that this makeup look will look much more dramatic.

I used a lilac coloured eyeshadow pencil for this look, but you can choose a white pencil instead, so it stands out more.


Here's a step by step:

Start off by prepping your face. Use eyelid primer on your entire eyelid. Make sure you get primer on your bottom lid as well. I used Etude House Proof 10 Eyelid Primer.


Draw a line using a light-coloured eyeshadow/eyeliner pencil. Try to make it a curve instead of a straight line. The pencil I'm using has been discontinued, but similar pencils are NYX Jumbo Eyeshadow Pencils, or Milani Liquif'Eye Metallic Eyeliner pencils.


Using a liquid/gel eyeliner, draw a thick line and wing it out at your outer eye, on top of the line you created earlier with you light-coloured pencil. I used MAC's Fluidline in Blacktrack.


Now, draw your bottom lids. The line on the inner corner of your bottom lid should start below the lashline, angled towards the lashline. Wing it out at the outer corners, this time following underneath the light pencil-line. The line doesn't have to be as long as the top black line.


Sweep a dark-coloured shadow (blue, purple, or black) onto the lid, staying close to your black liner. Also, pat a little of the shadow onto the liner to set it. Don't worry about being too neat, because you will then blend out the colour with a blending brush. Don't sweep it too far out when you're blending; the colour is meant to be concentrated and strong. Here, I am using Avon's True Colour Eyeshadow in Midnight Plum.


Take your light coloured eyeliner/eyeshadow pencil again, and fill in the area of your inner eyes that are in between the two black eyeliner lines. Then, pat a little light-coloured eyeshadow (a similar colour to your light eyeliner/shadow pencil) onto the inner 2/3rds of your eyes, and blend lightly towards the outer eyelid.

And your eyes are done!


This look requires minimal make up on the rest of the face, so choose a light pink blush and sweep it onto the apples of your cheeks. My blush here is Bare Minerals All over Face Colour in Bare Radiance.
