Everyone has those days when they just can't be bothered putting in the extra effort with their makeup, or their clothes, or their hair, for that matter. I'm exactly the same, and with all the time I was spending on the wedding, and work, and the blog and YouTube channel, I've been extra, extra not bothered with my makeup and hair.
I still personally like looking at least decent on a daily basis, though (I am a beauty blogger, after all, and I have no eyebrow hairs to speak of, so really, walking around with no makeup at all is not really an option). So I came up with a super quick, perfect makeup routine that takes up only the tiniest sliver of my morning, leaving extra time for more important matters, like hitting the snooze button on my alarm clock.

SK-II Aura Activator CC Cream / Dr Jart Dis-a-Pore BB Cream / Sulwhasoo Perfecting Cushion Brightening
For base, I like going with products that are easy to apply, blend, and give good coverage. I love the Sulwhasoo BB cushion because it's super easy to apply and already comes with an applicator sponge. If you've got dry skin, I highly recommend both the SK-II and Dr Jart base products because they give the skin a lovely glow. All 3 products give you amazing coverage. In true Korean fashion (BB and CC creams are a massive Korean trend), all products come in limited colours and tend to suit those with medium to fair skin tones.
Now moving on to the eyes..

Dior Fusion Mono Eyeshadow / L'Oreal Infallible Eye Shadow / Bobbi Brown Long Wear Cream Shadow Stick
Cream eyeshadows are the easiest, quickest way to add definition and dimension to your lids. My favourites are listed (and pictured!) above, and I choose them based on the look that I'm going for. For more control (especially if you're looking to create a look using different colours) then the Bobbi Brown Long eyeshadow sticks are perfect. I love the L'Oreal eyeshadows (not available in Malaysia, sadly!) for a pigmented, shimmery wash of colour on the lids, and the Dior ones are more for a lovely shimmer with a very light tint of colour.
Bobbi Brown Longwear Eyebrow Pencil
I have a few eyebrow pencils that I like at the moment, but this is by far my favourite. It comes angled, and is twist-up so it maintains its shape and doesn't need any sharpening. The best thing about it is that it's pigmented, and stays pretty sharp at the edges, which tends to be a bit difficult with twist-up pencils.
The FACE Shop Ink Graffi Brush Pen Liner
This is a simple liquid liner that's quite black, and barely smudges. Plus, it's affordable. What's not to like? :)

Shu Uemura Eyelash Curler / Sasatinnie Party Queen Mascara
I never skip the eyelashes if I want my eyes to look pretty and awake on any given day! The Shu Uemura eyelash curler fits my eyes perfectly and curls well, and the Sasatinnie mascara is my absolute favourite - it keeps the lashes curled all day long!

Givenchy Le Rouge / Dior Addict
My favourite lazy-day lipsticks are ones that don't require a lot of touch ups or precise application, but still give me the effect that I want. For that, I always opt for balm-like lipsticks. My current favourites are the Dior Addict lipsticks (new formula) because the colour and formula are done just right, they're glossy, and I always feel like a movie star when I wear them; and the Givenchy Le Rouge (not so glossy) because they're very convenient and slim, so they are great to pack into your purse or makeup bag for everyday use.
And finally, my favourite two products for surviving that Malaysian humidity.

Too Cool for School Oil Blotting Papers / Innisfree No-Sebum Blur Pact
These blotting papers are my favourite because they come in a compact case, and you can pick up the papers and blot your face with their applicator, which looks like applicator sponges in a powder foundation case. They're so convenient and chic! [I bought mine from Althea Malaysia, a Korean beauty site that ships straight to Malaysia at great prices that are closer to the actual prices of these products in Korea]. The Innisfree No Sebum powder is a product I always apply after all my makeup, so my skin stays as matte as possible, for as long as possible. The powder also blurs imperfections on the skin (hence its name), and makes it more selfie-friendly *wink*.
So there you have it! It's not the shortest product list, but I like a more complete makeup look and these products are what I use when I want it done quickly, and easily. I hope you guys enjoyed this post! x

I am completely in love with this makeup look, and the best part about it is that it's so easy to do! Here's the makeup tutorial:
Here are the products I used:
Shu Uemura Pore Eraser UV Under Base Mousse - a skin primer that 'erases your pores' and gives your skin a lovely glow. I highly recommend the pink shade because as you can see in the picture above, it really does just brighten up your skin and make it glow. It also has an SPF of 30 so that's a plus :) Please note though, that I do still recommend always using a regular sunscreen before applying your makeup each morning, and reapplying it throughout the day!
Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in Light - this is a bit of a dry concealer, but it has great coverage and I love it for concealing pimples, as well as for highlighting the skin (the colour 'Light' is a couple of shades lighter than my skin tone, which makes it perfect for undereye concealing and highlighting). It is still 'wet' enough that it's quite easy to blend into the skin, which is great. If you're going to use this on the undereye area the way I did, don't apply too much, and pat it into your skin with your fingers to prevent any creasing.
Shu Uemura The Lightbulb UV Compact Foundation - a great foundation that can be applied wet or dry, with a lovely soft powder texture that's light on the skin (you barely feel like you're wearing anything), and that makes your skin glow. It has a 'buffer' side to increase glowiness, too! Read my full review here.
Shu Uemura H9 Eyebrow Pencil in Seal Brown - this is one of my favourite eyebrow pencils for a slightly lighter, but still defined brow. It glides on smoothly and deposits just the right amount of colour, doesn't contain any creaminess, which means it doesn't flatten the eyebrow hairs against your skin. These are specially sharpened for ease of application when you buy them, and you can take them back to any counter, anytime to get them resharpened.
Shu Uemura Eyeshadows - one of my favourite eyeshadow formulations is a Shu Uemura one, and you can read more about it in my review and makeup tutorial of last year's Shu Uemura holiday palette.
Shu Uemura CalligraphInk Liquid Eyeliner - the picture above shows you just how pigmented an eyeliner this is, and if you're not convinced, just watch the first minute of my video. This eyeliner is incredibly smooth, inky, super black, and stays on the skin for hours without fading. I did experience a tiny bit of smudging with this, but my eyelids are extra oily, so no surprise there. If you have super oily eyelids like I do, apply a primer and eyeshadow when you're using this eyeliner, then nothing budges at all.
Shu Uemura Lip Tint in Gelato in CR03 - these lip tints are fantastic! They're a lovely chiffon-y texture, and they stay on forever. If you're using the darker colours, don't apply too thick a layer at a time because it does take a while to dry down and before it does, it tends to move around and can get on your teeth. I find that applying it in thin layers makes the colour last even longer, and helps to prevent any unwanted movement of the lip colour.
Sleek Contour Kit in Medium - now this I don't even have to review anymore because you all already know how much I love it and how awesome it is.
Bloom Cosmetics Lip Gloss in Tangerine - I love this colour because it helps to add a beautiful warmth to any lipstick!
I hope you guys enjoyed the tutorial, and let me know if you have any requests!
First off, let me apologise for the quality of the pictures - I don't have my camera pictures with me but needed to get this blogpost out as soon as possible, because I know I've been neglecting my poor YouTube channel!
I filmed this video a while back (if you follow me on Instagram you would have seen the above pictures posted a few weeks ago) but have only just gotten around to editing the whole thing and publishing it.
This makeup tutorial is for people who find that wearing eye glasses dwarfs their eyes or makes their face look to scrunched up. The key is to elongate your makeup to make your features more proportionate and more defined so that the glasses don't swallow your features. I hope you enjoy the video!
And as always, here are mini-reviews of the products used:
Bioré Aqua Rich Watery Essence
One of the many new Bioré sunscreens I am trialling at the moment, this sunscreen is slightly more creamy than the Perfect Face Milk sunscreen, and creates a slightly sticky base for your makeup to adhere to. It is still an extremely light sunscreen, and if you apply it on its own, it dries down to a matte finish, same as all the other Bioré sunscreens I've tried. Whilst the Perfect Face Milk has a bit of a powdery feel to it, the Aqua Rich Watery Essence has a more cooling, gel texture that dries down to a smooth, matte finish.
Giorgio Armani Maestro Foundation
This is a strange foundation, one of Giorgio Armani's latest. It is formulated with a new technology utilising oils instead of the usual liquid and cream bases. It is extremely light and quite sheer, and gives the skin a lovely glowing finish. If you have problematic skin, this is probably not the foundation for you, because it is quite sheer. Though this is said to be moisturising because of the oils it is formulated with, I find that this isn't suitable for a dry climate or dry skin. It works much better, and gives a much more beautiful finish, on medium to oily skins, and in humid climate.
Anastasia Beverly Hills Beauty Express Kit in Brunette (full review here)
Chanel Les 4 Ombres in Kaska Beige
Dollywink Liquid Eyeliner in Black
This liquid eyeliner is easy to use, and has pure, dark, black pigment. What's not to love?
Daniel Sandler Long Lasting Waterproof Eyeliner in Velvet Brown
This eyeliner lives up to its name - it is long lasting and barely budges, even when wet. I love it so much that I brought it along with me to Boracay - it was my trusted waterproof eyeliner of choice to prevent smudgy panda eyes, which, by the way, I experienced none of in Boracay. WIN.
Daiso 8mm Individual Cluster Eyelashes
These are cheap and soft, and curly. For me, that's all I need in my false eyelashes - the cheaper the better! I generally only reuse these about once, and I don't have to worry about keeping them and caring for them. Great when you've had a long night and just want to wash your makeup away without having to worry about cleaning and storing your falsies.
Majolica Majorca Lash Enamel Glamour Volume On Mascara
My favourite mascara because of its double-sided comb wand to get both definition and volume, and the fact that the formula is the most budge-proof, long lasting one I've tried.
Clinique Airbrush Concealer in Neutral Fair
Diorskin Nude Compact Powder Foundation
I like this because it is light and velvety, and it sets makeup well. It also has more coverage than your regular loose powder, which is great when you have blemished skin - it provides more coverage on top of your concealer.
Diorskin Nude Tan Paradise Duo in Pink Glow
An absolutely lovely, very flattering powder blush and contour that was released with the Dior Summer 2013 Bird of Paradise collection. Full review and swatches here.
Kryolan High Gloss in Toffee
Dior Jelly Lip Pen in Gaia
Another product released with the Bird of Paradise collection by Dior. In my opinion, it absolutely shines when it is paired with a nude coloured gloss, like I did in this video. For swatches, and full face shots of the product with and without a nude gloss, see here.
Nail Colour: Dusty Rose, Vertrebra duo, NARS x Pierre Hardy
This nail colour is a beautiful mauve-pink. It was my first ever NARS nail polish, and I am utterly smitten! The colour comes out so beautifully creamy, and the finish is incredibly glossy even without the help of a top coat. It lasts forever without chipping, too. Application is a total dream, and I am thoroughly, thoroughly impressed all round with this nail polish. One of my absolute favourite formulas to date! NARS can be purchased at Sephora in Malaysia, or in Mecca Cosmetica and Mecca Maxima counters in Australia.

I was also lucky enough to receive a pair of glasses to film with for this video, thanks to the lovely Daniela from www.glassesonline.com.my. The website ships worldwide and has a decent selection of glasses, sunglasses, as well as contacts. The prices are reasonable, and they do have pretty great discounts from time to time.
A brand new makeup tutorial is up for your viewing pleasure! :)

Daniel Sandler Long Lasting Waterproof Eyeliner in Brown Velvet (available at feelunique.com)
This fabulous product is a mechanical, wind-up eyeliner that is intense and long-lasting. It doesn't budge on my oily lids and it is also very creamy and easy to use as it just glides onto the skin without tugging, and with strong colour. I find myself reaching for it more and more because it really helps create a beautiful smoky eye and I find that it is a lot easier to use than a gel eyeliner, but with the exact same budge proof attributes of a gel liner.
Majolica Majorca Lash Enamel Glamour Volume On Mascara
This is fast becoming my absolute favourite mascara. It stays on, holds a curl well, and defines and coats my lashes beautifully, the way no other mascara can.
Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay in Place Concealer in Light Medium
I love this concealer for its lasting power and its pigment. It coats almost any imperfection on my skin extremely well, is great to use with its doe-foot applicator, and is very easy to blend. I wouldn't recommend it to use for the undereye area though, because it is quite dry and may settle into fine lines.
