Hi guys! As promised, here is a tutorial on how to get the smokey eye look I posted. (For the tutorial I posted on how to get sculpted cheeks as shown in the photos below, click here)

The tools you will need for this tutorial are:

Blending brush
Pencil brush
Normal shadow brush/sponge applicator

The products you will need (and the products I used):

Light grey eyeshadow (Prestige Skin Loving Mineral eyeshadow quad - black and pink colours)
Dark grey/black eyeshadow
Shimmery white/nude eyeshadow
Black eyeliner (MAC Fluidline in Blacktrack)
False eyelashes
Nude lipstick (NYX Round lipstick in Circe)

Here's a step-by-step:


Since we're doing a really dark eye, it is advisable to start only with eyelid primer but without foundation and concealer, and lightly brush some loose powder underneath your eye to catch any falling shadow.
Once you're done with your eye makeup, just sweep the loose shadow away and apply foundation and concealer as usual.

Place the light grey eyeshadow all over your eyelid with the sponge applicator/shadow brush, staying below the crease.


Using a pencil brush, take the dark grey/black shadow and outline the outer '>' shape of your eye. Then, using a blending brush, blend out the harsh lines. At this point, you can blend the lines all the way into the inner corners of your eye.

Those with Asian eyes (small creases) and monolids can get away with applying the black shadow slightly beyond the crease. Those with more pronounced creases and deeper set eyes should try and stay within the crease line, otherwise it will end up looking a little drag-queen-ish.


Line your eyes, then smudge the lines slightly. If you have smaller eyes, line the bottom of your eye only halfway through. This will 'open up' your eye.


Sweep the shimmery white/nude shadow underneath your brows and dot a little onto the inner corners of your eyes to really open your eyes up.

Once you're done, don't be afraid to go back and redefine the dark grey/black shadow. This will help make you look more polished. Remember to blend, though!

Finish off your look with a nude lipstick, and if you want, some lipgloss (I used Clinique's Full Potential Lip Shine in Play-full)
